SomatoEmotional Release

According to the Upledger Institute, “research conducted in the late ‘70s by Dr. John Upledger and biophysicist Zvi Karni led to the discovery that the body often retains the emotional imprint of physical trauma. These imprints, especially of intense feelings that may have occurred at the time of the injury – anger, fear resentment – leave residue in the body in areas called “energy cysts……through SomatoEmotional Release, the therapist engages in imaging and dialoguing techniques that can guide the patient through an otherwise challenging encounter with long- held emotions.”

Energy are the primary underlying dysfunctions of the body and can be the result of direct physical trauma, infection, radiation, cellular/tissue/organ toxicity, medications, surgery, spiritual conflict and or emotional trauma and can lead to “symptoms and dysfunctions that become difficult to suppress or ignore.”

Craniosacral Therapy

The Craniosacral System consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord.

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle and deeply relaxing form of bodywork that enhances the function of the CS System, directly influencing the brain and spinal cord. While CST positively affects over-stimulated nerves and other stressed body systems, CST is also useful for freeing holding patterns and areas of restriction in the body.

CST was developed by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger. For further information please go to www.upledger.com

Bodytalk

Body Talk provides a way for client and practitioner to tap into the client’s unique bodymind wisdom (unconscious) to correct and re-establish lines of communication in the body that may have been impaired through stress, injury, environmental and a variety of other factors.

The “bodymind complex functions as a synchronicity,” and not as separate parts. Each part works in relationship to every other part. These parts need to function in synchronicity for the body’s mechanisms to perform at optimal levels.

Using biofeedback – which can be viewed as a simple interview that dialogues with the bodymind’s innate wisdom – the practitioner and client can determine the best approach or the ‘priorities’ in the client’s healing process.

BodyTalk is a comprehensive healthcare modality that integrates knowledge from Applied Kinesiology, western physiology, eastern energy medicine, quantum physics & mathematics, and yogic & adviatic philosophy.

BodyTalk allows us to become more aware of our patterning. With each session we can come closer to understanding the many aspects and triggers around mental, emotional and physical issues. We can then become better at recognizing our triggers and make different choices around them.

It is a wonderful modality used in the prevention of disease, the balancing of the body, mind and the emotions, and a way to accelerate the healing process.

The BodyTalk System was developed by John Veltheim.  For further information please go to www.bodytalksystems.com
